COGNITIVE REHABILITATION

Cognitive rehabilitation is a personalized, evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals improve or adapt to changes in thinking skills caused by brain injury, neurological conditions, or cognitive decline. This specialized service supports recovery and helps people regain independence in everyday activities.

Cognitive rehabilitation can benefit individuals experiencing:

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) or concussion

  • Stroke

  • Neurological disorders (e.g., multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease)

  • Memory loss or early dementia

  • Cognitive changes related to mental health conditions or medical treatments

    • Treatment focuses on strengthening key cognitive abilities, such as:

  • Memory

  • Attention and concentration

  • Problem-solving and reasoning

  • Executive functioning (e.g., planning, organizing, time management)

  • Communication and processing speed

Therapy is tailored to each person’s unique goals and may involve skill-building exercises, compensatory strategies, and real-world practice to support daily functioning at home, school, or work. Collaboration with families, schools, and medical providers ensures a holistic, team-based approach.

Our goal is to help individuals rebuild confidence, improve quality of life, and function as independently and successfully as possible.
